A.B. has worked with executive and leadership teams to develop and implement organizational strategies using business process improvement tools and information technologies across several industries. Certified as Microsoft Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Solution Architect, he has implement Microsoft Server and Office products, including SharePoint Server, to support organizational strategy deployments. These strategy deployments are developed using Six Sigma tools and teams, SIPOC analysis, Theory of Constraint thinking tools, and several other analytical frameworks.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, A.B. received a Masters of Business Administration with a major in strategic information systems from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Denise Coleman is a life long learner and is dedicated to spreading the importance of critical thinking to the masses. She is an accomplished singer who decided that improving organizational systems would be a more important legacy than recording songs. As a consultant , Denise has always been recognized for her ability to “listen to understand” and empathize with conflicting management and employee positions. She always seeks a win/win balance between the need for organizations to make a profit to stay in business and the personal needs of individuals. She Is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
A graduate of Old Dominion University. Denise received a Masters of Science in Leadership Studies from the University of Tennessee.

Aaron Tyrrell is the founder and CEO of ScanStore, with over 25 years of experience in application development, artificial intelligence, and business process automation. He has built solutions for small businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, universities, and Fortune 500 companies, and is one of the leading experts on the ABBYY FlexiCapture enterprise data capture platform. He has a degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and full-stack development expertise in Windows .NET applications, relational databases, WordPress and Magento websites, and other technology platforms.
Aaron is also a board member of several local nonprofit organizations, including Americans United for Separation of Church and State of Tennessee, Braver Angels East TN Alliance, and the Rationalists of East TN. He is also a member of the School for Moral Ambition and facilitator for Knoxville’s Moral Ambition Circle, a support group that helps local entrepreneurs and students find ways to pursue career goals that align with their core values. Those values are reflected in the way ScanStore has operated, providing stable long-term jobs, flexible working schedules, ample vacation time, profit sharing, and other benefits that American workers are too often denied.
Lloyd Mason supports organizations by helping translate vision into practical and sustainable technology solutions that strengthen people, processes, and daily operations. His approach emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and respectful communication, ensuring technology supports the mission without unnecessary complexity.
With experience as project management, supervisory roles, IT administration, escalation support, network technician, Tier 1- 3 help desk specialist, configuration, maintenance, engineering and troubleshooting of various technologies in diverse topologies from small, medium, to global enterprises environments. Lloyd brings an operational perspective to systems planning, infrastructure support, and staff enablement. He contributes to technology decisions that balance immediate needs with long term sustainability and organizational success.
As a professional with over 20 years of IT experience, Lloyd supports Tennessee Valley Collaborative commitment to servant leadership by aligning technical systems with purpose, shared vision, and effective execution.

George Douglas Cox is a Psychologist and his specialization is medical psychology. He has professional credentials of Ph.D., BS, and several Certificates from Harvard University. He is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons (ASMBS), and a member of the Tennessee Pain Society (TPS), the American Psychological Association (APA).
Dr. Cox has over 40 years of diverse experience, including author of several professional publications, conference speaker, and coach to both medical and business professionals.

Neil Greenberg, a graduate of Drew University, received his doctorate from Rutgers University where he studied at both the Department of Zoology and the Institute of Animal Behavior. Neil studied Brain Evolution and Behavior at the National Institute of Mental Health. While there he was also appointed a Research Associate at Harvard University’s Museum of Comparative Zoology.
Dr. Greenberg joined the faculty of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he served as professor and Chairman of the University Studies Program, a university-wide interdisciplinary faculty development program. He also holds adjunct faculty appointments in the Graduate School of Medicine and the Department of Psychology. He is presently Professor Emeritus.
He has had several principal investigator and co-principal investigator grants from NIH and NSF to conduct basic research on the neuroendocrine causes and consequences of social behavior.
Neil was awarded the “University Studies Scholar’s Award,” acknowledging excellence in transdisciplinary research and teaching. and elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
These diverse activities are unified by an appreciation for the power of interdisciplinary activities to foster personal growth within a culture of collaboration.

Greg Coleman brings more than 15 years of management expertise to the team. He has extensive experience leading teams through complex and rapidly changing situations and has advised early-stage, mid-stage, and Fortune 100 companies in a number of critical areas, including strategy, management, operations, business development, and marketing.
Greg served in the District of Columbia Air National Guard where he was a senior pilot with over 60 combat and combat support missions in the Balkans and Middle East.
A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Greg received a Masters of Business Administration with a dual major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Taylor Prince was most recently an engineering consultant in Oak Ridge, TN, where he applied his IT skills to:
- Conduct IR heating and quenching experiments for Tesla Motor Company.
- Assist research and development activities for proprietary materials in automotive industries.
- Develop solutions and manage materials, lab designs, safety procedures, and research activities.
Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Sustainability Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,
were he coordinated operations with 30 local businesses in an incubator to accelerate technological growth.
Taylor is currently focused on developing Project Management Solutions using Microsoft Office 365.

Bill Pierce is originally from Setauket, NY and first came to Knoxville to play viola in the pit band for the “Sing Tennessee” show at the 1982 World’s Fair. He performed several concerts with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra during the summer of 1982, but he assumed his current full-time core position in the fall of 1983. He studied viola in New York where he attended Queens College, Manhattan School of Music, and the Juilliard School. Before coming to Knoxville he taught viola in Venezuela.
In addition to his work in the KSO, he does freelance computer technical support and serves as the webmaster for the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and the Knoxville chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (respectively).
Heather Kistner is a dedicated leader with a proven track record of fostering positive change and building strong communities. She has served as the Congregational President at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, where she initiated efforts to develop systems for growth and progressive change.
Beyond her church work, Heather is actively involved in social justice advocacy, serving as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and co-facilitating men's groups with a community non-profit surrounding domestic and sexual violence. Her professional experience in training coordination, project management, teaching all ages, has equipped her with strong communication, time management, and analytical skills. Heather's commitment to her community is evident throughout her all the areas she partners with. When she is not involved at a community event, she loves being out on the water in her kayak with her boys.

Claire Federico is a dedicated user interface professional with a proven track record of success. With over 12 years of experience, she has honed her skills in building strong client relationships, streamlining processes, and leveraging her technical expertise. Her diverse experience includes roles as Content Manager and User Experience Specialist for clients such as HGTV/DIY network, Intuit, and Silicon Valley Bank.
Throughout her career, Claire has consistently demonstrated her ability to improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and drive positive outcomes. Her technical proficiency in WordPress, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools further strengthens her capabilities. Claire's ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, coupled with her strong organizational and communication skills, makes her a valuable asset to any team.
Kathy Greenberg is Professor Emerita, Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where her scholarly interests focus on theoretical approaches to teaching and learning, including phenomenology.
Dr. Greenberg received her PhD from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and was a Fulbright Research Scholar in Israel, where she worked with theorist Reuven Feuerstein. She is the founding director of one of 12 educational models included in the U.S.D.E. National Follow Through Program, working with educators in elementary schools serving children from low-income families.
Subsequently, she has consulted in more than six countries to share her model, Cognitive Enrichment Advantage,for use inK-12 as well as post-secondary settings. She has directed numerous doctoral dissertations in Educational Psychology as well as developed several graduate degree programs.

Since 1998, ScanStore has been serving both East Tennessee and companies around the world, providing enterprise automations scaled to be affordable for small businesses, departments, and non-profits.
Our flagship product, SimpleIndex, was developed by founder Aaron Tyrrell and designed to provide the easiest, most automated way to digitize paper documents and organize existing digital files in a single-user environment. Using advanced pattern matching, text analysis, and AI tools, SimpleIndex is able to identify key information on documents and use it to organize files automatically or upload them to third-party apps. SimpleIndex has thousands of users worldwide, with all development and support based locally in East Tennessee.
ScanStore also has custom solutions designed for healthcare claims forms, freight bill processing, fuel delivery invoices for air and marine, research labs and universities, and the nonprofit sector.

Melanie McGhee, L.C.S.W., is the founder of AIA, an award-winning author, teacher, and psychotherapist with extensive training. After more than three decades of practicing and study, she developed AAIT™. In addition to training and mentoring, Melanie maintains a small private practice serving other healing arts professionals.
Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT™) represents an evidence-based practice that can be seen as a continuous integration of emerging research findings, an expanding reservoir of clinical experience from certified AAIT™ practitioners, and a theoretical and contractual framework that prioritizes client values and aspirations.
Grady Regas, Collaborator
W. Grady Regas has long been a student of continual improvement for teams and organizations on his never-ending quest to help others be better today than yesterday. Grady has been immersed in his obsession for the realization of the greatest potential for both individuals and organizations.
A graduate of Florida State University, Grady earned an MBA from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business. Along with his business partners A.B. and Denise Coleman, he completed the coursework for a doctorate in Collaborative Learning from the University of Tennessee School of Education.
Grady is best known for conceiving and developing the Grady’s Goodtimes concept, which grew to fifty-two restaurants under the
Brinker International flag. Grady’s team members (referred to as “Goodtimers”) continue to communicate with
one another on Grady’s Goodtimes Facebook page. After Grady’s time with Brinker International, he
was involved with the original Regas family businesses and many related ventures.
Grady was an investor/operator at the 1992 World’s Fair in Seville, Spain, where he was honored to run 23 restaurants as the only
operator representing the United States. Grady was deeply involved in The New Knoxville Brewing Company, as
well as a brewpub called City Brew. Grady was also a co-founder of Quality Development, Incorporated, a
pioneer organization that attempted to take Total Quality Management principles and PC-based training to the
hospitality industry ahead of its time. Quality Development, Inc. became Strategic Deployment Systems, which
later merged with C.Y. Strategy.
